Job Description
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a contract Special Education Teacher, supporting various grade levels and helping students achieve their full potential. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with learners across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings, including specialized instruction in Math. You'll be instrumental in fostering a positive, inclusive environment where every student is empowered to succeed.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid and current Special Education teaching credentials
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in teaching across Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grades 1-12, including Early Childhood and High School
- Specialized knowledge in Math instruction is highly preferred
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs and IEPs
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Positive communicator committed to meaningful family and staff partnerships
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative, differentiated instruction to students with a range of abilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and needs
- Foster a supportive, respectful, and engaging classroom atmosphere
- Collaborate closely with other educators, families, and support staff
- Document student progress and communicate effectively with team members and families
- Utilize innovative strategies and resources to ensure academic and social-emotional growth
