Job Description

Step into a meaningful position supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for elementary students. This full-time, onsite contract role gives you the opportunity to collaborate with two dedicated paraprofessionals and benefit from robust building and Special Education team support.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education, with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) endorsement
  • Proven experience with elementary-aged students, particularly those in kindergarten and first grade
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and administrative staff
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, nurturing environment where every child can thrive
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based instruction tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD
  • Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with families, service providers, and support staff
  • Provide direct support and guidance to paraprofessional colleagues working in your classroom
  • Engage and motivate students in K-1st grade using innovative, age-appropriate strategies
  • Encourage social, emotional, and academic growth through structured routines and positive reinforcement
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
