In this rewarding contract opportunity, youll play a vital role supporting 3rd through 5th grade students as a Special Education Teacher within an engaging school environment for the 26/27 academic year. You will have the chance to utilize both push-in and pull-out models, delivering tailored instruction and fostering growth among students with significant cognitive, developmental, or behavioral disabilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Michigan teaching certification with special education endorsement
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction designed to support diverse learning needs and developmental goals
- Implement effective strategies for managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement IEPs aligned with student goals
- Monitor, track, and communicate student progress clearly with stakeholders
- Adapt instructional approaches and materials to best meet students unique needs
- Maintain organized, thorough documentation while adhering to required state and federal guidelines
