Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse K-8 caseload in a resource classroom setting, where student behaviors may vary and no two days are exactly alike. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through May 2026.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with K-8 students, particularly in resource or special education settings
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Comfort with both in-person and virtual interview processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Provide direct instruction and support tailored to each students unique needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Maintain an inclusive, positive, and organized learning environment
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and relevant trainings as needed
