This contract opportunity for a Special Education Teacher invites you to provide essential support in a resource classroom setting for the 2026-2027 school year. Starting as soon as possible and extending through May 2026, youll work closely with students exhibiting a range of behaviors, helping them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience supporting K-8 students with varied behavioral needs
- Familiarity with resource classroom models
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles
- Comfort addressing diverse learning and behavioral requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized instructional plans tailored to IEP goals
- Deliver engaging lessons in a resource room environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings
