Make a difference this school year by providing specialized instruction to young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive elementary school environment. This full-time contract position starts as soon as possible and continues through June, serving students in kindergarten through 5th grade within a resource setting.

Your expertise in special education will be key in helping students reach their potential. As part of a committed team, youll collaborate with general education staff, administrators, and families to support inclusive and individualized learning experiences.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Special Education Teacher certification (MI SPED)
• Experience or strong interest in working with students in K-5th grade
• Knowledge of best practices in resource/inclusive classrooms
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students according to their IEPs in a resource setting
• Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate educational records
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, service providers, and families to promote student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals
• Support a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture
