Step into a meaningful role supporting high school students in an adaptive classroom setting as a contract special education teacher. This position provides the opportunity to work with a caseload of 26 students, shared across a collaborative team of two additional educators. Role Highlights:

Qualifications:

• Current North Carolina Adaptive Special Education teaching license (required)
• Prior experience with adaptive classrooms or working with high school-aged students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively partner with fellow teachers and staff
• Commitment to fostering growth, independence, and life skills in every student

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Monitor and document student progress, collaborating closely with colleagues and families
• Implement individualized strategies tailored to each learners strengths and challenges
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment conducive to learning and inclusion
