This full-time opportunity is based in New York, NY (10027) and spans the 2026-2027 school year. You'll work alongside a team of dedicated educators, embracing varied teaching methods to help each child reach their fullest potential. The school day runs from 7:15 am to 4:15 pm, offering stability and structure to your schedule.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid New York Special Education Teacher license
• Certified to teach grades 16
• Experience or familiarity with diverse learning needs in an elementary setting
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
• Ability to manage caseload responsibilities typical for a special education teacher

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum to meet the specific needs of each student
• Provide direct instruction and behavioral support
• Monitor student progress and document growth
• Work collaboratively with other educators, support staff, and families
• Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures
