Job Description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a learning support role within an early childhood setting. This contract position begins immediately and continues through the end of the school year, filling an urgent maternity leave opening. The position is located in a suburban community in Pennsylvania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs in both push-in and pull-out classroom settings.
  • Deliver learning support services exclusivelythis role does not involve behavior or emotional support caseloads.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure coordinated support and student success.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and adapt instructional plans accordingly.
  • Follow all state and district guidelines for special education service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with early childhood to elementary-aged students in learning support roles.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and utilize inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Comfortable working within a team that includes paraeducators and other support staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Location:

  • Position based in a grade school setting in Spring Mills, PA.
