The local schools are seeking three Special Education Teachers for onsite, full-time assignments from August 19, 2026, through June 14, 2027. This is a chance to make a huge difference: youll gain invaluable professional growth by working with diverse student populations, collaborating with dynamic teams, and expanding your experience in innovative special education pilot programs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Vermont Professional Teaching License with one of the following:
  • Special Educator Endorsement
  • Special Education Consulting Teacher Endorsement
  • Intensive Special Education Teacher Endorsement
• Previous special education experience (Autism, severe behaviors, executive function, or learning disabilities preferred)
• Flexibility and creative problem-solving mindset
• Recent fingerprinting (or ability to secure prior assignment verification)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Two high school roles: Deliver instruction and support for a new pilot program, serving students with executive function challenges, Autism, and severe behaviors, and preparing students for employment and life skills. Some students will receive instruction at a local tech center.
• One elementary role: Work collaboratively with a team to support students with learning disabilities and high-functioning Autism, and collaborate with PT/OT staff.
• Maintain all required documentation and compliance standards.
