This travel opportunity is for an experienced Special Education Teacher focusing on elementary students in Springfield, Oregon. The position offers a dynamic role supporting a caseload of 32 students with mild to moderate disabilities. Some students require full-time special education settings, while others participate in pull-in services throughout the day. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for elementary students with mild to moderate disabilities
  • Deliver tailored instruction both in special education settings and inclusive environments
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and general education teachers to support students academic and social development
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with families and school staff

Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 32 students
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Flexibility to travel and work within schools located in Springfield, Eugene, Lowell, and Corvallis (approximately 50 minutes away)

Job Details:

  • Start Date: 2026-03-19 through the end of the current school year, with possibility of renewal
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
  • Setting: Public elementary schools with supportive paraprofessional assistance
