Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon Teaching Certificate with appropriate SPED endorsement
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students
  • Previous exposure to mild to moderate disabilities preferred
  • Strong commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans for various learning levels and needs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and specially designed support for elementary students (approximately 32 on caseload)
  • Develop and implement IEP goals and track student progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to foster student success
  • Modify curriculum and classroom activities as needed for inclusion
  • Create a supportive, structured, and engaging learning environment
  • Employ evidence-based strategies to maximize student independence and growth
  • Participate in assessment, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision making
