Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education for the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven experience developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Ability to effectively modify curriculum and instructional techniques
- Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, and support staff
- Experience with adaptive technology and evidence-based educational strategies is highly beneficial
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to students with diverse learning needs across various grades or classrooms
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators to ensure student progress
- Develop, document, and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Conduct assessments and collect data to monitor and report on student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team planning sessions
