Qualifications and Experience:
- Current teaching certification in Special Education (appropriate state credentials)
- Previous classroom or educational setting experience with students requiring individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement targeted lesson plans
- Experience collaborating with support staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to students academic and behavioral requirements
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Work closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure cohesive learning experiences
- Communicate consistently with families regarding student progress and needs
