Key Qualifications:

  • Active Special Education Teacher certification from the state of California (CA SPED License required)
  • Previous experience working with students with moderate-to-severe disabilities preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a compassionate and patient approach
  • Ability to establish rapport with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability within a dynamic educational environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction and interventions in a 1:1 setting, addressing academic, behavioral, and social needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed
  • Collaborate with families and fellow professionals to ensure comprehensive support
  • Adapt instructional materials and activities to ensure accessibility and engagement
