Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Nevada special education teaching license required
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students in a special education setting is a plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Creative, flexible, and patient approach to meeting individual student needs
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet each student's unique learning needs
- Manage a diverse caseload, providing both direct instruction and small-group support
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain thorough and compliant records, including progress reports and documentation
- Implement behavioral strategies and individualized accommodations as specified in IEPs
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth
