Job Description

Shape young minds and make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students. This contract opportunity centers on supporting children in kindergarten and first grade, specifically focusing on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Youll work onsite full-time in a collaborative and supportive environment, where two dedicated paraprofessionals and a robust special education team partner with you every step of the way.

Your classroom will have a manageable caseload of 7 students, allowing you to provide individualized attention and foster growth in a positive setting. The school is committed to creating a nurturing atmosphere for both students and educators, ensuring you have ample support to implement your strategies and interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credentials
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder Certification (required)
  • Experience working with early elementary-aged children (grades K-1 preferred)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Availability for full-time, onsite presence
