Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential recognized by the state of California
  • Demonstrated expertise working with students from early childhood to high school (Pre-K12th grade)
  • Comfortable adapting teaching strategies across multiple grade levels, including Kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school
  • Experience teaching Math within a special education context highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for collaborative, student-centered environments
  • Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Dedication to fostering inclusion and positive classroom management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, adapt, and deliver effective lesson plans to meet individualized student learning goals across age groups
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods as necessary
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support holistic academic and social development
  • Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals, ensuring compliance with all state and federal guidelines
