Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Maine Special Education Teacher license (ME Sped Teacher License required)
• Previous experience in early childhood or preschool settings preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials for different learning styles
• Collaborative spirit for teamwork with general education teachers and related service providers

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to preschool students with a range of abilities
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture promoting student engagement
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and communicate effectively with families and team members
• As a float, provide coverage and support across classrooms where needed; as a full-time teacher, manage a steady caseload
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school initiatives
