Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
  • Design and deliver differentiated instruction using evidence-based practices for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Create and maintain a structured, supportive classroom climate that addresses communication, behavior, and sensory needs.
  • Track student progress using data collection and monitoring tools to guide instruction and interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow special education professionals, general education teachers, therapists, and families to create comprehensive support systems.
  • Execute behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and integrate positive behavior supports.
  • Foster students growth in communication, social, and essential life skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements and standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • Approved as a School Social Worker in Michigan.
  • Deep understanding of Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), trauma-informed care, and social-emotional learning practices.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screenings.
