Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Education or a related field

  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes and specialized instructional strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
  • Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate learning differences and promote student success
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for each student
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom culture that encourages independence, growth, and self-advocacy
