Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a well-respected educational setting near Somerville, TN. Youll play a vital role assisting students in either elementary (K5) or Pre-K self-contained classrooms, making a real difference in their academic journey. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday, and will run from the start date as soon as possible through June 4th.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching License for Tennessee
• Previous experience teaching students with diverse needs preferred
• Warm communication style and a collaborative spirit
• Adaptability to work in elementary or Pre-K self-contained settings
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Excitement to partner with families and school staff for student success

What Youll Do:

• Lead instruction for students in K5 or Pre-K self-contained special education classrooms
• Design and deliver individualized lesson plans that match student learning goals
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
• Track and report progress for students individual education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress
