Job Description

This full-time contract role begins as soon as possible and runs through June 25, 2026, offering an excellent opportunity to work onsite with 2nd and 3rd grade students who have developmental delays or intellectual impairments.

The school day runs from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, allowing dedicated professionals to foster growth and independence in students who need specialized guidance, encouragement, and instruction. Collaborate closely with a supportive school community as you develop and implement individualized education plans and adapt academic materials to help each student thrive.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts license/certification in Special Education for Moderate or Severe disabilities (required)
  • Previous school-based experience supporting elementary students
  • Completion of CORI background check and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability may be accepted for fingerprints)
  • Prepared for a Zoom interview
  • Passion for promoting academic, social, and emotional success for learners with unique needs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, modify, and deliver engaging instruction for 2nd and 3rd graders with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with state standards
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure student progress
  • Maintain ongoing documentation and provide timely progress reports
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating classroom environment onsite
