Job Description

This part-time, in-person contract role begins as soon as possible and extends through June 12, 2026, providing essential services to students with a range of unique learning needs in a supportive school community.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington Special Education teaching license and appropriate certification
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to quickly build rapport and provide personalized support to diverse learners
  • Flexibility to adapt schedule based on evolving school needs (AM/PM shifts and days being finalized)
  • Collaborative mindset to work alongside other educators and support staff to enhance learning outcomes

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Begin by providing focused support to one student for several hours, one day per week, with the intention of gradually increasing their participation
  • Offer instructional support to additional Special Education students and classrooms as schedule permits
  • Partner with classroom teachers, families, and support professionals to optimize student engagement and progress
  • Monitor, document, and report on student goals and achievements
  • Uphold rigorous standards for equity and inclusion within the school community
