Job Description

This dynamic position focuses on coordinating and leading special education services, supporting the development and implementation of IEPs, and fostering collaboration across students, families, and educational staff.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher Certification is required
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership abilities
  • Proven experience organizing and facilitating IEP meetings
  • Track record of collaboration with parents, students, teachers, and multidisciplinary IEP teams
  • Skilled in supporting the development, execution, and compliance of IEPs while advocating for student needs
  • Background in leading special education services and overseeing related staff

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate special education support across student caseloads, ensuring seamless service delivery
  • Oversee efficient development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Lead and organize IEP meetings, maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with legal requirements
  • Collaborate closely with families, students, fellow educators, and support specialists
  • Provide student advocacy by ensuring every learner receives appropriate and effective supports
  • Guide and support special education teachers and associated staff
