Job Description

Bring your passion for student support to a rewarding contract role as a Special Education Teacher working with K5th grade students with mild to moderate needs. In this full-time, onsite position, youll help foster growth and learning by providing individualized support and innovative instruction, all while collaborating closely with a dedicated co-teacher.

As part of a dynamic educational environment, youll work hands-on with a caseload of up to 15 studentsmanaging the academic progress and personal development of 11, and serving as an integral support for the remainder. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating inclusive, engaging, and effective learning experiences that nurture each childs potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Teaching Credential with a Special Education endorsement
  • Experience teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities, within grades K5 preferred
  • Comfortable supporting students with toileting and addressing mild to moderate behavioral needs
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with co-teachers and educational teams
  • Ability to design, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized, evidence-based instruction and ongoing academic support
  • Assess, track, and report student progress toward IEP goals
  • Provide behavioral and emotional support where required
  • Engage with families and staff to encourage student achievement
  • Participate in IEP meetings and staff professional development

Compensation for this position ranges from $21.00 to $57.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
