Desired Qualifications:
- Active Kentucky special education teacher license (required)
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school-aged children
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, staff, and families
- Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for working with learners with unique challenges
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement individualized education programs for students with special needs in accordance with IEP goals
- Deliver engaging instruction that aligns with each students learning style and specific requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and other educators to support student achievement
- Maintain consistent communication regarding student progress and share strategies for continued growth
- Manage documentation and maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
