Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Special Education professionals to support students in resource and essential classrooms within a supportive school environment on a full-time, contract basis.

This role offers two distinct opportunities: one resource classroom serving 25-30 students, requiring Mild Intervention Certification, and one essential classroom with a caseload of 10 students, requiring Intense Intervention Certification. Both positions require a valid Indiana teaching license. You will work Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours weekly, with daily hours from 8:20 AM to 3:10 PMplease note, these may vary based on classroom assignment.

Qualifications:

  • Current Indiana State teaching license in Special Education.
  • Appropriate certification for either mild or intense intervention, depending on assignment.
  • Experience supporting students with IEPs and diverse learning needs is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with classroom teachers, support staff, and families.
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage caseload records and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to meet students individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to accommodate each students abilities.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for IEP compliance and student progress monitoring.
  • Collaborate with families, therapists, and other educators to foster positive learning outcomes.
  • Support the social-emotional and academic growth of each student in your caseload.
  • Attend required meetings, planning sessions, and professional development as assigned.
