In this contract role, you'll work closely with a small, manageable caseloadjust six studentsalongside two experienced paraprofessionals. This position is perfect for Special Education Teachers passionate about individualized instruction and fostering positive classroom environments.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid North Carolina SPED license required
• Background in Special Education teaching, particularly with behavioral needs or self-contained classes
• Comfortable guiding paraprofessionals within the classroom
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to elementary-aged students in a self-contained behavior class
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
• Create and maintain a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
• Work closely with two classroom paraprofessionals to support student learning and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with families, school staff, and other support professionals to ensure holistic student development
• Track student progress and adjust educational strategies as needed
