Work closely with a small group of six students, alongside two dedicated paraprofessionals, in a full-time role for the upcoming school year. Key Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Special Education Teacher license (NC SPED) required
- Experience in special education, preferably at the elementary level
- Ability to manage and support students in a behavior-focused classroom
- Comfortable collaborating with paraprofessionals and support staff
- Compassionate, patient approach to working with diverse learners
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to elementary-aged students with behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, structured classroom environment
- Coordinate lesson planning and strategies with paraprofessionals
- Track student progress and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and other educational professionals
