Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching license (or eligibility) required
  • Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students with special needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Ability to adapt and modify lessons to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
  • Organizational skills for managing paperwork, progress monitoring, and classroom routines

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with students IEP goals
  • Assess, evaluate, and document student progress
  • Use evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction techniques
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and related service providers
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and planning
  • Foster a supportive and respectful classroom environment
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
