Make a difference in the lives of students by taking on a rewarding contract position as a Special Education Teacher. In this role, you'll help foster an inclusive learning environment while providing individualized support and instruction for students with diverse learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license (or eligibility) required
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students with special needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to adapt and modify lessons to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
- Organizational skills for managing paperwork, progress monitoring, and classroom routines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in accordance with students IEP goals
- Assess, evaluate, and document student progress
- Use evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction techniques
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting and planning
- Foster a supportive and respectful classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
