The primary focus will be partnering with families and educators to write and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitor progress, and lead case management for an engaging group of students. Youll play a key role in fostering student growth while ensuring all district and state requirements are met.
Qualifications:
- Valid K12 Special Education certification required; preference given to those comfortable working with a range of grade levels.
- Experience as a special education teacher or case manager, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of elementary students.
- Proven familiarity with writing and implementing IEPs in accordance with current regulations.
- Strong communication skills for effective partnership with families, staff, and school administrators.
- Solid organizational abilities to manage caseload and maintain compliance documentation.
- Experience with virtual instruction or case management platforms preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs for approximately 70 elementary students.
- Facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform ongoing progress monitoring and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Support compliance with all district and state special education requirements.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource to school staff regarding best practices in special education.
