Job Description

Successful candidates will have an active Kansas teaching license that permits them to teach Special Education at the assigned grade level. Placement is contingent upon verification of credentials. This position is not only about academicsits about making a daily difference for students.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Kansas licensure for Special Education, relevant to the grade level applying for
  • Experience with life skills, autism, or behavioral SPED classrooms preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administrators
  • Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusion
  • Organizational and communication excellence

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address specific student needs
  • Deliver differentiated instruction in either elementary, middle, high school, or Bridges settings
  • Foster a safe, structured, and empathetic classroom environment
  • Monitor progress, maintain records, and regularly communicate with families
  • Participate in professional development and support school-wide initiatives
