Key Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs
- Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with families, support staff, and administration
- Ability to adapt lessons and interventions for various abilities and learning styles
- Organizational skills and creativity in lesson planning
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individual and small-group instruction that meets students IEP goals
- Write, update, and maintain IEP documentation and related records in compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure consistent and integrated supports for students
- Employ evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies tailored to student strengths and areas of growth
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Engage with families regularly on student progress and collaborate on strategies for success
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
