Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- A bachelors or masters degree in Special Education or related field
- Previous experience in a classroom or educational setting preferred
- Proficient knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Genuine passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to students learning abilities and goals
- Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to provide comprehensive support
- Monitor, assess, and document student progress, making adjustments as needed for optimal growth
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents or guardians about student achievements and needs
- Cultivate a classroom environment that encourages positive behavior, independence, and social-emotional growth
