Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active Kentucky special education teacher license required
- Experience working with elementary, middle, or high school students in special education settings
- Strong classroom and behavior management skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability to work with diverse student needs and learning abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to students with varying abilities, supporting their academic and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and related services staff to foster inclusive learning experiences
- Develop, monitor, and revise IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and goals
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications to maximize student engagement
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
