Multiple contract opportunities are available for certified Special Education Teachers at a variety of school sites in the Phoenix and Glendale area for the 20262027 school year. Serve learners from preschool through junior high in both resource and self-contained classroom settings, with engaging caseloads supporting diverse academic and behavioral needs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Arizona Special Education Educator Certification
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Experience teaching students with emotional disabilities, cross-categorical, or resource needs highly preferred
- Ability to implement individualized education plans creatively and effectively
- Flexible, compassionate, and patient approach to working with a variety of student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with general education staff, families, and support professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored instructional strategies for students with diverse disabilities
- Lead self-contained or resource classroom instruction based on assignment, integrating evidence-based practices
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment focused on student growth
- Collect data and maintain documentation to monitor student progress toward IEP goals
- Engage in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- Provide push-in/pull-out services as required for assigned students
- Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
