Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting high school students as a Special Education Teacher in various schools throughout the Scottsdale, AZ area. Multiple positions are available, covering a range of skills including Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT, and STRIVE teaching. Candidates must be certified in CBT and/or STRIVE, with placements determined by proximitycandidates must live within a 30-minute commute to schools in zip codes 85015, 85040, 85019, 85004, 85017, 85339, or other southern locations.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License, current K-12 Special Education Certificate, and IVP Fingerprint Card
- Certified in CBT and/or STRIVE
- Skilled in supporting students with emotional disabilities and those needing guidance in prosocial and self-regulatory skills
- Knowledgeable about at-risk, ethnically diverse, limited English proficient, and exceptional student populations
- Experience developing and implementing individualized special services in alignment with federal, state, and district regulations
- Willingness to complete Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training or participate in related staff development
- Demonstrated flexibility to work onsite across multiple district locations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction for areas including Inclusion/SUCCESS, Practical, CBT, or STRIVE, based on assignment
- Support caseloads of students with a range of abilities and needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and individualized behavior plans
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, families, and administrators
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with all guidelines
This is a full-time, onsite position aligned with the academic calendar, starting with orientation July 21-24, then all staff commencing July 27 through May 21, 2027. Be a vital part of a collaborative, student-focused environment while making a measurable difference.
