A school in Glendale, AZ, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-3 students as a Resource Teacher or to provide specialized SPED Math instruction at the high school level. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic educational environment by supporting diverse learners and helping them succeed academically and socially.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities in K-3 or high school math settings
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes growth and independence
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and support staff regarding student performance and needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience teaching K-3 Resource or high school SPED Math
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and best practices
- Ability to adapt curriculum and materials to meet student needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
