Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working with students with a variety of disabilities (including intellectual, emotional, physical, or learning challenges)
• Familiarity with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to manage and adapt to different caseload sizes and grade levels
• Commitment to fostering a positive, encouraging, and respectful classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and deliver specialized lessons and interventions tailored to each student's needs
• Manage IEP processes, including assessment, goal setting, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in required meetings
• Promote inclusion and advocate for student success across school environments
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in parent-teacher conferences
