Job Description
A Special Education Teacher position is available in Scottsdale, AZ, to support students with diverse learning needs in a school setting on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet varying disability needs and ensure inclusive classroom participation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student performance, behavior, and growth to inform instruction and reporting.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment that promotes student development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with students with a range of disabilities.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance with special education laws.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively and work independently within a school team.
