Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in students lives by providing vital support as a Dyslexia Interventionist and Special Education Teacher. In this onsite, contract opportunity, youll work with K-12 students, leveraging your expertise to deliver evidence-based interventions and foster academic growth for learners with dyslexia as well as those served by special education programs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Special Education Certification
  • Reading by Design Certification required
  • Experience as a Special Education Teacher, specializing in dyslexia intervention
  • Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
  • Ability to tailor multisensory instructional strategies for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction to K-12 students in both special education and dyslexia intervention settings
  • Design, implement, and monitor IEPs and intervention plans
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
  • Utilize Reading by Design curriculum and other research-based strategies to accelerate student learning
  • Maintain thorough documentation of progress and attend IEP meetings
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and self-advocacy
