An exciting contract opportunity awaits for an experienced educator committed to fostering student growth and success. This onsite position focuses on providing inclusion-based instruction to a caseload of 20-25 students within a supportive school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role will primarily involve collaborating with fellow teachers, ensuring differentiation in instructional methods, and nurturing students life and academic skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education Certification K-12
- Texas Generalist License K-12 or for the specific age group
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education or Life Skills Teacher, preferably in an inclusion setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting individual learning needs and fostering a positive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and accessible instruction to students with diverse learning needs within an inclusion model
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet the needs of individual students
- Monitor progress, collect data, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
- Advocate for student needs and maintain ongoing communication with school stakeholders
This role offers a standard 37.5-hours-per-week schedule throughout the academic year, allowing educators to focus fully on impactful teaching practices.
