This travel opportunity in Schenectady, NY, is for a Special Education Teacher providing dedicated support during the 2025-2026 school year. The role requires overseeing student assessments, evaluations, direct instruction, and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support a caseload of 20 students within one school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations tailored to special education requirements.
- Delivering direct instruction and individualized interventions based on student needs.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams during IEP meetings to develop and adjust student plans.
- Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Valid New York State Special Education teaching license.
- Experience managing a caseload of students with diverse special education needs.
- Strong organizational skills to balance direct teaching and administrative duties.
