This flexible contract position offers the chance to work with a caseload of 20 students, supporting one local school and working approximately 10 hours per week.

Youll play an integral role in assessing student needs, conducting evaluations, providing direct support, and actively participating in IEP meetings, helping shape positive educational outcomes. Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current New York State Special Education Teacher certification required
• Experience working with special education caseloads, preferably within a school setting
• Strong communication and organization skills, comfortable with IEP documentation and meetings
• Able to provide assessments, evaluations, and direct instruction
• Willingness to travel between assigned locations within the district, with paid travel time
• Commitment to professional growth and supporting diverse learning needs
• Fingerprinting and background check clearance before start date

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee academic assessments and individualized evaluations
• Deliver direct instruction and therapeutic interventions
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team
• Maintain thorough and timely session documentation per district and state guidelines
• Engage in ongoing communication with families and staff to ensure student progress
