A Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, located in Saratoga Springs, NY, at an elementary school. This contract role involves working 10 hours per week with a caseload of 20 students. The teacher will provide specialized support within the district, focusing on delivering services itinerantly across assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' educational needs
• Provide direct therapy and support tailored to individual student goals
• Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
• Collaborate with staff and families to develop and implement effective learning strategies
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and interventions

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State teaching license in Special Education
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 20 students
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable using Zoom for interviews and virtual meetings

• Position is itinerant within the district, with paid travel time; inquire about mileage reimbursement if applicable
• Interviews conducted via Zoom, with decisions typically made within 24 to 48 hours
