Job Description

Qualifications:

  • NYS Certification in Special Education or Students with Disabilities Birth to Grade 2 is required.
  • Candidates pursuing certification in Special Education Birth to Grade 2 may be considered for Substitute Special Education Teacher roles.

Location: Saratoga Springs, NY

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for preschool-aged children with special needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments.
  • Provide direct instruction and support in both integrated and self-contained classroom settings.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and school guidelines.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
