Step into a meaningful role supporting students at various grade levels as a Special Education Teacher. This contract position offers the unique opportunity to work with learners across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings. You'll collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and enrich the lives of students by creating inclusive learning experiences.
Your expertise in Math and experience across a diverse range of educational stagesranging from Pre-K and Kindergarten all the way through Grade 12will be valued as you adapt strategies to meet students individual learning needs. This role is ideal for educators flexible in supporting students at different grade levels and passionate about fostering growth at all stages of academic development.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials/certification (in applicable state)
- Demonstrated experience working with students in K12, including early childhood and preschool
- Skill in delivering specialized instruction in Math and differentiating lessons effectively
- Strong organizational and classroom management abilities
- Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills for partnering with families and educational teams
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) reflecting students unique strengths and challenges
- Provide direct instruction and classroom support in Math and other core subjects
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to engage learners and monitor progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and specialists to promote an inclusive environment
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal documentation requirements
