Job Description
Embark on an enriching journey making a difference as a Special Education Teacher supporting students across all grade levels, from Early Childhood and Pre-K through high school. This contract position focuses on inclusive instruction, tailored interventions, and fostering a positive educational environment for learners with diverse needs. With an emphasis on individualized education planning, there is also an opportunity to teach a variety of subjects, including Math, catering to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials
- Experience working with students from Pre-K to Grade 12, including early childhood and secondary education
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Ability to differentiate instruction for a variety of learning needs and grade levels
- Familiarity with behavioral, emotional, and academic supports in classroom settings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver engaging lessons in core content areas, adapting to a range of grades from early elementary through high school
- Provide instruction in Math, as well as other required subjects, tailored to individual student needs
- Track progress and document student achievements, maintaining accurate and confidential records
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and academic growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure student success across all school settings
