Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid special education teaching certification or eligibility
- Experience teaching across a range of grade levels (Pre-K through 12th grade)
- Proficient in designing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong background in supporting students with various learning needs, including using multi-tiered systems of support
- Background in teaching core subjects, especially Math, is a plus
- Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills for working with families, support staff, and general education teachers
- Flexibility, creativity, and a passion for student growth and achievement
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver differentiated instruction to meet IEP goals for students in grades Pre-K through 12
- Work alongside general education teachers and specialists to design inclusive classrooms
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and modify instructional plans as needed
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school administration to ensure students receive comprehensive support
- Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and ongoing training
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered
