This contract opportunity invites talented and compassionate Special Education Teachers with experience in early childhood through high school to provide expert instruction and advocacy for learners with diverse needs. You'll have the chance to utilize your knowledge in areas such as Math, and to work with students from Pre-K up to 12th grade.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
- Proven experience teaching or supporting students in grades Pre-K through 12th, including early childhood and high school settings
- Strong foundation in subject matter, particularly Math
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and adapt learning materials
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Passionate about fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students' strengths and learning needs
- Create engaging lesson plans that reflect curriculum standards and address diverse learning styles
- Monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in regular IEP meetings
- Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that encourages self-advocacy, growth, and respect
