This opportunity is for a full-time Special Education Teacher specializing in Life Skills, serving elementary students in kindergarten through third grade. The position is located in Sandy, Utah, within an in-person classroom setting. The role is scheduled as a contracted assignment lasting through the current school year, ending May 22, 2026.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with life skills requirements.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with state-specific special education regulations.
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Utah Special Education certification or licensure is mandatory.
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in life skills classrooms.
